The Seawind facility in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada (30 miles south of Montreal) has the following positions open to experienced, motivated candidates with knowledge of general aviation aircraft. Only candidates meeting the essential requirements will be considered.
ENGINEERING EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
The Seawind Project has the following positions open to experienced, motivated candidates with knowledge of general aviation aircraft for the completion of the Certification work and the on-going engineering for customer options, accessories, and product development. Only candidates meeting the essential requirements will be considered.
Lead Engineer: DAR Preferred - The successful candidate will supervise and submit the preparation of documents for submission to Transport Canada and attend meetings. Must have a good general knowledge of Part 523 General Aviation Aircraft systems, and piston engines systems as well as DO160 testing.Mechanical Systems Engineer - Must have a Mechanical Engineering degree, and knowledge of Power Plant, Firewall, fuel, and hydraulic systems. The candidate shall prepare test reports, compliance plans and reports. Electrical Systems Engineer - The successful candidate must have a degree in Electrical or Aeronautic Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience in general aviation aircraft. The position requires the ability to prepare compliance plans and compliance plan reports. Knowledge of avionics and detailing, autopilot, IFR, and glass cockpit options is essential.
Technical Writer/Illustrator - Successful candidate will produce aircraft illustrated parts catalog, maintenance manual, and pilot operating handbook. Position requires basic skills in Catia, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD; excellent written English; and good knowledge of Microsoft Word.
Designer/Draftsman - Must have experience in Catia, Solid Works, and AutoCAD drafting. Candidate should have experience in general aviation aircraft and a background in mechanical or systems design.
PRODUCTION EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Production Manager - The successful candidate must have a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with 5 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing of aircraft composite parts, sub-assembly, assembly of primary structure, systems installation, final assembly, and finishing. The candidate must have tooling experience for aircraft assembly including jigs, fixtures, templates, and drill fixtures. The candidate must have knowledge and experience in carrying out a QA Program along with purchasing and inventory.
Quality Assurance Manager - The candidate must have a Mechanical, Aeronautic, or Industrial Engineering Degree with a minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in General Aviation, including supplier auditing, purchasing, incoming inspections, and traceability.
Purchasing & Stores - The candidate must be experienced with ordering aircraft hardware, systems, and machine parts as well as incoming inspection and traceability documentation. Must be able to organize and implement a purchasing and inventory system. Must be familiar with shipping and receiving for U.S./Canadian border crossing and export.
Fiberglass & Assembly Workers - Positions are opening in fiberglass parts manufacturing and aircraft assembly as the company ramps up production.
